Terms and Conditions - Coffee Club

Founding Class 2026

1. Membership
The Coffee Club is a fixed-term membership for the Founding Class 2026. Places are limited to 100 in total across all shelves. By completing payment you confirm your place. There is no further approval step after payment is received.

2. Term and start date
House Shelf and Reserve Shelf run for six months. Annual Shelf runs for twelve months. Membership begins with the first bag of the month following acceptance and payment. Bags are sent within the first week of each month.

3. Payment
Full payment is required at the time of application to secure your place. Prices are as shown at checkout. No instalments are offered.

4. What is included

  • House Shelf and Reserve Shelf: one 200g bag of coffee per month for six months

  • Annual Shelf: one 200g bag of coffee per month for twelve months

  • One farm day during the membership period (dates to be confirmed; attendance is optional)

  • One harvest sachet from the Mui Wo trees after the November harvest

The farm day and harvest sachet are the same across all shelves. The coffee selection differs by shelf.

5. Monthly selection
Within the first week of each month we will WhatsApp you a short selection of coffees roasted that week. You reply with your choice. The bag is then delivered. If we do not receive a reply by the stated deadline, we will select a coffee on your behalf.

We may also WhatsApp you after payment to confirm grind preference and any notes that affect preparation.

6. Delivery
Delivery is within Hong Kong. Outlying islands and some remote addresses may carry an additional charge, which we will confirm with you. We are not responsible for delays caused by the courier once the bag has been handed over.

7. Farm day
We will offer a selection of dates during your membership period. You choose one. If you cannot attend any of the offered dates, the membership continues and no alternative date or refund is provided.

8. Harvest sachet
After the November harvest we send a small sachet from that year’s Mui Wo crop. Quantity is limited by the actual harvest. It is not sold separately.

9. Changes and cancellations
Memberships cannot be paused, cancelled, or refunded once payment is confirmed. You may change the recipient once during the membership period. Address changes should be notified before the monthly selection is sent.

10. Substitutions
If a specific coffee in a shelf is unavailable, we may substitute a coffee of similar style or quality. We will note any substitution when we send the monthly selection.

11. Contact
Questions before or after joining can be sent to info@thehideout.hk or via WhatsApp 6151 4907. We aim to reply within one working day.

12. Acceptance
By completing the application and payment you agree to these Coffee Club Terms for the Founding Class 2026.
